Arizona officials welcome new 3-foot rule for COVID-safe students
Arizona school and health officials announced that COVID-safe social distancing for students could be reduced from 6 feet to 3, but officials are being strategic on implementing this new policy.

House OKs ERA bill, Violence Against Women Act in Women’s History Month
Last week, the House voted to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and remove the 1982 deadline for states to ratify the Constitution's Equal Rights Amendment.  Learn more about what the bill reauthorization includes and what it means for women's rights advancement.

PBS stands with the Asian American community
In light of the Atlanta shootings this month and the disturbing rise in violence against Asian Americans, PBS has made the docuseries "Asian Americans" free to stream. The series looks at the past 150 years of U.S. history through the lens of this country's Asian American and Pacific Islander immigrants — a group that faced violence and prejudice for decades. Teachers can use these educational tools drawn from the series. (Grades 7-12)

ASU Cronkite offering high school summer camps 
Do you know a high school student who is interested in journalism? The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication is offering a series of summer programs, including: Summer Journalism Institute, High School Media Innovation Camp and Sports Broadcast Boot Camp.  Check out these exciting summer opportunities and invite your high school students to apply today!

Weaving together Ernest Hemingway's biography with excerpts from his fiction, non-fiction and personal correspondence, this documentary examines the visionary work and turbulent life of one of the most influential American writers. Make music naturally with "Elinor Wonders Why"
Encourage students to use their senses and explore how nature can inspire the design of musical instruments with "Elinor Wonders Why" learning resources. Available in English and Spanish. (Grades PreK-K)

Virtual Sesame Street in Communities Summit
Arizona PBS has partnered with the Gila River Indian Community to host Sesame Street in Communities Summit. Join us on Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 9-10 a.m., as we share tips and resources on helping your children build resiliency.
