State delivers 1 million COVID-19 shots, but work is just beginning
Arizona administered its 1 millionth COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, just two months after officials delivered the first round of doses. However, some experts are concerned that the vaccines are not reaching high-risk communities. 

EPA awards $220 million for uranium mine cleanup on Navajo Nation
The Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday it will award contracts worth up to $220 million to three companies for the cleanup of some of the hundreds of abandoned uranium mines on the Navajo Nation.

Valley Metro program teaches kids about engineering virtually
Engineers of the Future is a free virtual STEM program for middle school students provided by Valley Metro. This development program offers students direct mentorship from professional engineers who work on light rail construction. Learn more about the program.
