Black History Month: Honor and understand the history of African Americans
Understanding the history of African Americans is crucial to understanding the history of America. Examine artifacts from three eras in American history — the Civil War, WWI and the Civil Rights Movement — with PBS History Detectives in these virtual lesson plans. (For grades 4-12)

Celebrate Black leaders!
Follow along as Arizona PBS KIDS characters learn more about contributions from influential Black leaders. Participate in activities like Peg + Cat solving problems with author and ballet dancer Misty Copeland, and track all your fun on this week’s bilingual, “Learn Along” Bingo from PBS LearningMedia.

Arizona PBS celebrates Black History Month
Arizona PBS is celebrating Black History Month with special programming this February. Historical documentaries, award presentations, in-depth interviews and more are airing in the coming weeks. View what’s coming up this month.

Arizona’s second state vaccine site opens, at Phoenix Municipal Stadium
After success at State Farm Stadium, state health officials have expanded to another vaccination site for COVID-19. Now, Arizona awaits more doses from the federal government.
