Dear ASC Friends and Family,

One of the most rewarding things I get to do as a leader is speak to young(er) people and try to inspire them to pursue careers in doing good.

Two Saturdays ago, I took the train up to Cambridge to speak at the 27th Annual Dynamic Women in Business Conference at Harvard Business School, where I participated in the Social Enterprise Panel (Profit v. Impact). I was invited to participate and make the case for founding a nonprofit as opposed to a for-profit to an audience of over one hundred mostly female students and professionals.

All Star Code Alumni at a Recruitment Event with Google and All Star Code in Pittsburgh
Two fantastic Alumni & Recruitment events this month!
On February 21, eight Summer CS Programs for Underrepresented Youth in Technology, including All Star Code, presented at Google to connect and share some of the many amazing programs and services available in Pittsburgh. These programs are fun, interactive, hands-on, and will hopefully inspire the next generation of tech leaders and innovators.
On March 1st, we partnered with Medidata and Black Girls Code for an event honoring Black History Month. There, employees discussed how to turn obstacles into opportunities, providing valuable guidance and mentorship for both our alumni and Black Girls Code. Also participating were the CEO of Medidata, Tarek A. Sherif, and Christina Lewis, Founder and CEO of All Star Code!
