POLL: SMITH LEAD DOWN TO 1%, Lewis Closes Gap by 10%

EAGAN, Minn. — U.S. Senate candidate Jason Lewis released the following statement after the second poll in as many days showed the U.S. Senate race within the margin of error. The latest poll released by KSTP/SurveyUSA shows Senator Tina Smith leading Lewis by just one point, 43% to 42% respectively. Smith also leads among women by only three points, and in the suburbs by just two points. This marks a dramatic shift given that a KSTP/SurveyUSA from September had Smith leading by 11 percent.

“As we enter the final two weeks and more and more voters vet the candidates and pay attention to the race, it’s no surprise I have closed the gap by ten points since September, making this a one point race. Tina Smith has been hunkered down in the basement and brazenly refusing to denounce Democrats’ schemes to pack the Supreme Court as well as the newly unearthed Biden pay to play corruption scheme.

"This poll further proves that Donald Trump and I have all the momentum in this election. And it’s no wonder why--Joe Biden and Senator Tina Smith openly back the radical defund the police movement, they have committed to a $4 trillion dollar tax increase, and support a radical government healthcare plan that would decimate Medicare as we know it. Whereas I support getting Minnesota moving again by opening up the Iron Range, ending the overreaching economic lockdowns, and supporting the police and your Second Amendment rights.”
