|Hello Recovery Warriors and Pioneers,
I just returned from Connecticut for a CCAR training. I attended the Recovery Coaching and Professionalism training (TOT). What I loved most about this training was the take away message that WE, as a recovery community, signed up to lift others up, and to nurture accountability and reliability in our recoverees. But...in order to effectively aide others we must, ourselves, be reliably and hold ourselves to a standard (I won't use the term higher here). My question for you is this...Are you representing the recovery community in a professional light? Are you on time for your shifts? Are you appropriately dressed? How are your boundaries? How about time management? Lifting others up is a beautiful gift, and I trust you want to do it effectively; so here's something I invite you to think about; Are you suiting up and showing up, or are you just showing up?
