I was reading Jordan's new Corporate Con Job book chapter yesterday when I saw a statistic that shocked me (and this is in an age of shocking statistics).
It was this:

In these United States, the city of East Chicago, Indiana has an infant mortality rate of 16.3 per 1,000 live births. This hurts my heart. Why aren't we doing more for these people? Why are corporations allowed to pollute and destroy innocent lives without making a splash—in fact most people aren't even aware.
