TFT and Sanrio organized Hello Kitty Onigiri Riceball successful workshops in Los Angeles. Participants enjoyed making Hello Kitty shaped onigiri and created beautiful bento boxes!

In March, the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles and TFT teamed up to organize an Onigiri Art Workshop at the 2018 Japanese Food Festival. Over 3,000 enthusiasts enjoyed the best of Japanese food and culture.

TFT and its partner restaurants participated in the annual Spring Festival in Washington, DC.

Under Josh-sensei's direction, students at Community Health Academy of the Heights in New York City completed all seven classes of Japanese food education. These middle and high school students learned about food nutrition, preparation, and Japanese culinary history and etiquette.

High school students in Sapporo, Japan created a snow statue of Japanese rice balls, Onigiri, for its popular snow festival.

In honor of its 50th anniversary, Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd., the official sponsor of the Japan Futsal League, will donate fifty school meals for every goal scored in 2017/2018 season. Thanks to Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd.'s generosity, 61,800 meals have been already donated to school children in East Africa.

Pro-bono team in Japan produced an original healthy semi-dried apple snack. 1% of sales will be donated to TFT.

b-monster, a boxing fitness studio in Japan, launched a Shoku-make project. b-monster will donate one meal for every 300 calories burned during boxing exercises.
