Fellow humans,

it sometimes feels like we live in a sci-fi novel. Lazarus comics come to mind...
Despite all troubles, it is important to stay SANE, while our world and life are sorts of falling apart.

We have invested so much in these developer meetups and now are postponing everything until planet Earth is healthier. Yet people still keep registering with the "Notify when you know the new dates" tickets. New partners pop up and suggest to do something together!

I am amazed and inspired by how strong some people are to be able to think of our meetups... in fact, able to think of anything but refreshing the news feed while emergency chatting with parents and looking for a slot for food delivery.

Quarantined developer meetups?

Can we just move all our planned meetups online? No, not without totally re-engineering the format. And just...it's pandemic around us. We cannot pretend it's BAU!

Also, we all are quarantined, we work from home, many develop anxiety and a full spectre of emotions, few of which are positive. Can we do something about it? Like a safe place to connect and share emotions?

Maybe we can do 30-minute video-calls to just share our quarantined developer stories?

We'd invite some of our meetup speakers and would discuss our reality, new company policies, how's life in our countries.

Shall we do a quarantined developers live-video next week?

Single-click poll. Vote here:
Format pitch below:
  • 30 minutes call via Google Meet or Facebook Live.
  • Guests and the host have a mic, but the chat is open.
  • Guests are IT-ppl/devs/PMs from different countries.
  • We discuss the WFH experience of their company and country.
  • We answer chat questions, then kthxbye till next call.
  • 2-3 video-calls per week, scheduled via Eventbrite and FB.
