Activists demand personal Western sanctions against Lutsenko and Avakov

On May 14, the activists of AntAC, "Who is behind Handziuk's murder" initiative, Automaidan and human rights defenders held a rally near the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Interior. We set the sign "Warning! Toxic!" and put the barrier tape around the buildings, as heads of both agencies are toxic and should leave.

During the rally, we reminded that Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov failed the prosecutor's office and law enforcement reforms respectively, covered up human rights violations and corruption, failed to ensure fair and proper investigations of attacks against activists. Activists
announced that the request for inclusion of Lutsenko and Avakov in the Global Magnitsky Act was sent to the U.S. Treasury.

The rally went smoothly near the Prosecutor's office, but provocations took place near the Interior Ministry. The police hampered our rally and first did not allow us to hang a tape, pushed activists, circled and separated. Nevertheless, we managed to hold rally at both places and urged both Lutsenko and Avakov to leave.

General liar of Ukraine
In addition, Lutsenko gave a new interview. He told Bloomberg there is no evidence of wrongdoing by Bidens. He also claimed he doesn't want Ukraine to be "the subject of U.S. presidential elections" - though it is Lutsenko himself who has been dragging our country there for the last few months. Lutsenko also said that "At the end of the day, [former Prosecutor General Viktor] Shokin submitted his own resignation". Full interview

In the same interview, Lutsenko once again repeated that he does not understand why NABU closed cases against Burisma (while in fact NABU still investigates them). NABU issued their explanations on which cases regarding Burisma they investigate and what were the difficulties after they were transferred to NABU from the Prosecutor's office. More details

Earlier Lutsenko also acknowledged there was no list from Ambassador Yovanovitch.
Who controls oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky’s offshore assets?

AntAC did investigation on Kolomoysky's offshore assets and his Western trusted persons in cooperation with Ukrayinska Pravda and KyivPost. Kolomoyskyi controls 3 US steel factories in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. American citizens Uri Laber, Korf Mordechai, Robert Powell and Cypriot Panikos Symeous are trusted persons within corporate structure chain of Kolomoysky's Western assets.

When the international community says Kolomoisky is a test for President-elect Zelensky, we shouldn’t forget that the oligarch is also a test for the West to crackdown corporate secrecy and western enablers of money laundering.

Chief of staff of the High Anticorruption Court selected

On May 17 the Commission on Civil Service in the Judicial System selected Bohdan Kryklyvenko as the chief of staff of the High Anticorruption Court (HACC).

Kryklyvenko served as the chief of staff for the office of Ombudsman under Valeria Lutkovska. He was the only finalist of the competition regarding whom NGOs voiced no concerns.

The appointment of Kryklyvenko now has to be agreed by the head of the State Judicial Administration and the newly selected HACC president.

Priority tasks for the HACC chief of staff shall be holding competitions for managerial posts in HACC as well as solving issues of HACC premises and a special room for consideration of warrants containing state secrecy in order to facilitate the quick launch of HACC. Good luck!
