Hey folks,
As I wrote you yesterday, Standing Rock is back in the news. The report renewed my anger for the #NoDAPL movement and made me even more energized to release Chapter 6 of my book, Corporate Con Job.
There's a lot of horrible stuff out there. A lot to get upset about. But I think this chapter will put a smile on your face. It will show you what really went on in those early days and why we can all look up to those at Standing Rock, now more than ever before.
Here's a sneak peek of the chapter, and a link below so you can read the whole thing.

How Mainstream Media Aids the Oligarchy
CHAPTER 6 SNEAK PEEK: Calm Before the Standing Rock Storm

It seemed a lifetime ago that I was listening to the election-coverage pundits and their focus on the substance-less drivel that embodies our media climate. You don’t know who the workers are, where they come from in life; they’re from different areas of the world, who knows maybe they will follow the OSHA regulations or maybe they won’t.”

He recounted one worker saying that he knew how to get Happy off, suggesting all they had to do was turn the construction machine on and move his arm around to see how long he’d last—essentially, threatening his life.

Standing around that circle of Native Americans and activists, I felt like I was plopped into a surreal moment, completely foreign to me. Smiles, pain, tears, and joy surrounded me as people who had come from across the country and around the world clasped hands to honor a young Native American who put his body on the line to defend his people and their sacred land.

This is probably my favorite chapter, and it's the one where I get the most personal. It's about the beauty I saw at Standing Rock, and I hope you enjoy it.
