The 2025 Cloverleaf Project Achievement county contest (4th-6th grade) will be on the evening of January 16, 2025, at our 5110 Piney Grove Road office. You can get started now!
1. Pick a topic that interests YOU! Categories range from Agriculture Awareness to Engineering and Mechanics to Veterinary Science! As long as the topic is school appropriate, you can turn it into a 4-H public speaking project!
2. Research that topic using credible resources
3. Write your speech! Include an introduction (with a catchy hook), three body paragraphs highlighting your topic, and a conclusion.
4. Create your poster! It can be a trifold board or regular poster board. Be sure to use large words and pictures so that your poster can be seen clearly! Your poster should complement your speech.
5. Time yourself! Your speech should be 4-6 minutes long.
The top three winners in each category will advance to the district competition in Newton County on Saturday, February 8. All transportation is provided by the Forsyth County 4-H staff. Need more information? Email Ms. Susan!
Students in 7th-12th grade must submit a portfolio in order to compete at District Project Achievement (4-H's yearly public speaking contest). Select a topic that YOU are interested in to share with your fellow 4-H'ers, develop your confidence, and meet new friends from across the state at the district competitions. Project areas include, but not are limited to, dog care and training, sports, history, arts & crafts, outdoor recreation, and more! Students who turn in a portfolio earn a FREE trip to Rock Eagle 4-H Center February 28-March 2, 2025.
Portfolios are due to Ms. Heather on January 3, 2025 at 5PM.

Community Club is a monthly club meeting for all 4th-12th grade students in the county that are homeschooled or do not have 4-H at their school. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month, from 7:00PM-8:00PM at the Forsyth County Extension Office. We can't wait to see everyone on December 10 for our annual gingerbread house building contest!
Registration is now OPEN! If your family has already registered this school year, there is no need to register again. If you have issues registering, please reach out to Susan Mamrick.
Conservation Club is a monthly club meeting for all 4th-12th grade students who are interested in learning about conservation and the environment. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 6PM. All meetings will begin at the Forsyth County Extension Office, but we are excited to be including some local site visits this school year! December's meeting will be held on the 9th! Register now! If you have any questions about Conservation Club, please reach out to Shannon Henderson.
For the 2024-2025 school year, Kindergarten-3rd graders are invited to join us for Cloverbuds! Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning on September 10th, from 5:30-6:30 PM. This year, we will be learning about a variety of Environmental Education topics including native wildlife, trees, and conservation. Thanks to the support of local donors, this program has no cost.
