Ebben for Congress

“Jessi Ebben is an excellent candidate and will be an excellent Congresswoman,” said John Christy of Sparta, a long-time conservative grassroots activist and former chairman of the Republican Party of Monroe County. 

Christy is a retired Army Veteran and has had experience on campaigns and leadership roles in political and non-profit organizations at the local, regional, and state-wide levels. He will be the senior advisor for the Ebben for Wisconsin congressional campaign.

 “I have asked her some tough questions and she has good answers,” said Christy. “She understands the issues and what matters most to the people of western and central Wisconsin. She has worked in the public relations profession in the public and private sectors and knows how to work with people and solve problems.” 

Christy's first major campaign experience came when he was a college student and served on a candidate's executive committee for New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation presidential primary. 

John Christy is a former Chairman of the Republican Party of Monroe County (2009-2014) and was most recently Vice Chairman until he took a leave of absence to be in a leadership role in the Ebben for Wisconsin campaign. He has served on most committees for the Republican Party of Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District. Christy was awarded the Truth Squad Award, the Tommy G. Thompson Award and the 2019 Alvin Bovay Award for the 3rd Congressional District.
