July 20th is the publication date of DrabbleDark, an anthology of one hundred 100-word stories with a dark theme. My story "Tiny Door" is reprinted therein. It's the perfect thing to help you beat the summer heat by sending a chill down your spine. Preorder it from Amazon here.

In convention news, I'll once again be at ArmadilloCon in Austin. No word yet on which panels I'll be on, but I will be serving as an instructor at the ArmadilloCon Writer's Workshop for the first time. ArmadilloCon runs from August 3-5. If you've never been, friend, you're missing out!

A superb collection of stories by a writer with a wholly unique mind. Like John Collier, Davidson doesn't fit into any neat boxes, but every story is a gem.

The Everly Brothers: The Everly Brothers & It's Everly Time. Been listening to a lot of early rock and roll lately. The Everly Brothers are, in my mind, criminally underrated. Listening to these records, you can see what an influence they were on The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and really any rock group that uses harmony vocals to this day.
