This year's terrifying legislative session ends on Sunday.

If the Democrats pass an income tax, especially a capital gains income tax this weekend, we'll launch the signature drive for this on Monday (we'll make a big announcement and help everyone get petitions):

I wrote about this on March 26:

Knowing that Inslee and the Democrats had the votes this session to jam an income tax down our throats, I filed the "We Don't Want An Income Tax Initiative".  Here's the official description: This measure would prohibit state and local governments from imposing any tax on personal income, whether net, gross, or adjusted gross income, capital gains income, or any other portion, or type of income. Should this measure be enacted into law Yes [ ] No [ ]

I then updated everyone again on April 1: 

We're gonna collect signatures from the end of April through the end of December and when it qualifies, it'll appear on the November, 2020 ballot. This guarantees the Democrats' income tax will be THE ISSUE for every race in every position during that critical election cycle.  Democrats want this divisive debate over and done with THIS YEAR so they can talk about something else in 2020. Our "We Don't Want An Income Tax Initiative" makes the Democrats' income tax front and center during a presidential year when voters are really paying attention.

Our new "We Don't Want An Income Tax Initiative" is Initiative #1005 and it's still being processed. If the Democrats open up this Pandora's box and pass their income tax bill in the House and Senate and Inslee signs it, then we'll have 8 months to collect the necessary signatures (from April through December). With that much time and with so many citizens opposed to an income tax, I'm certain we can do it.  With I-1005, we're gonna make the Democrats' income tax THE ISSUE in every race for every position on the 2020 ballot.
