Improvements to the website for standard documents

We are pleased to share an updated website that organises standard documents for Gold Standard for the Global Goals in a more intuitive way.

A new document naming convention and quick links to corresponding support documents should enable users to quickly and easily access relevant information where and when they need it.

 TUTORIAL

We have created a tutorial to guide you through the new site.

Contact us  if you have any feedback or suggestions on how to further improve accessibility of standard documents.

Reminder: CORSIA eligibility + opportunity to transition to Gold Standard

As a reminder, Gold Standard projects that have a first crediting period start date on or after 01 January 2016 are eligible to supply credits for CORSIA, for credits with vintages between 2016 through 2020. The only exceptions to this are microscale projects that use the Gold Standard Validation and Verification Fund.

If you would like to discuss options for your microscale projects to become eligible for future issuances – OR – if you have projects certified under other carbon standards and would like to see if your project is eligible to transition to Gold Standard for the Global Goals, please contact SustainCERT.

Technical updates and training

Our last communication featured the latest Rule Updates aimed at providing appropriate flexibility for projects transitioning to Gold Standard from other standards, enabling project developers to more efficiently scale their programmes of activities (PoAs) to increase their impact, and ensuring all projects earning Gold Standard certification follow crediting period limits according to Gold Standard for the Global Goals.

As our official certification provider, SustainCERT will provide training and support for you in considering or implementing these updates.
Upcoming webinars for Project Developers and VVBs will cover:

Registry enhancements:
Improved account
management

This week we released small but powerful functionality to the Impact Registry: Users with access to more than one account can now easily search and choose the account that they would like to view, by simply selecting the ‘account picker’ dropdown box in the top right corner of the registry window.

Further improvements are also underway. Users will soon be able to view main account and/or sub-accounts simultaneously, as well as view all holdings. We will gradually release this functionality over the next few weeks.

As always, please feel free to send your feedback or suggestions on how to enhance features and functionality to registry@goldstandard.org.

Reminder: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system public consultation

In line with ISEAL Impacts Code of Good Practice, we have initiated a 60-day public consultation of our proposed Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to track progress of the contributions that our standards system makes toward achieving long-term social, environmental or economic impacts.

Webinar recording: Opportunities in Soil Organic Carbon

As the call for nature based climate solutions grows louder, Gold Standard seeks to ensure these important new practices are grounded in the most credible approaches.

We recently hosted a webinar that explored our published Soil Organic Carbon framework and how a wide range of activities will be able to certify their carbon sequestration impacts for carbon credit issuance.
