The newly elected president of the Polk County Democratic Black Caucus, Retired Captain (PCSO) James E. Hogan, was guest speaker during the May meeting of Polk County Democrats.
Having lived in Polk County his entire life, Captain Hogan has a BA in Organizational Management from Warner University in Lake Wales and retired from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after 31 years of service.
He currently serves on multiple community boards including (but not limited to) being Vice-President of Polk County Sheriff’s Charities; Commissioner on the Winter Haven Housing Authority; and, newly appointed Trustee of the Winter Haven Police Department’s Pension Committee.
He is married with five children and five grandchildren.
