PERSPECTIVES

  1. Four ways to communicate better in virtual meetings - For the past few months, most of our interactions have been forced into virtual meeting spaces. This poses many challenges for more thoughtful, open and accessible science communication. (Written by Charmaine Caparas)

  2. A just transition to renewables must recognize the rights of Indigenous Peoples - If transition to renewables is to be just – as the Paris Agreement requires – it is crucial to include Indigenous Peoples and other marginalized groups to ensure that the shift to renewables benefits all. (Written by May Thazin Aung)

  3. Supporting women environmental defenders in the time of COVID-19 - It is in the exploitative nature of our socio-economic system that we can find the root causes of both environmental collapse and of gender and social inequalities. We need an environmentalism that works through and for the poor and marginalized. (Written by Sara Vigil and Babette Resurrecion)

  4. Accelerating sustainable agriculture in the Mekong - To provide for the world in a sustainable way, current agricultural and food systems need transformative action. (Written by Phuong Nguyen)
