L’heure est grave... Après de longues concertations avec les responsables des camps, le bureau de l’association French Burners ainsi que l’équipe d’organisation, il a été décidé d’annuler l’événement Crème Brûlée 2020.

En effet, si l’équipe était très motivée, l'épidémie de COVID19 suscite trop d’incertitudes quant aux restrictions de rassemblements en cours ou à venir. Or pour engager l’événement, il nous fallait dépenser entre 15 et 20 000 € dès maintenant. Ce qui signifie que nous n'aurions pas pu rembourser en totalité les billets vendus si l’événement avait été annulé par les autorités (ou si la faible affluence nous y avait contraint plus tard)

C’est donc avec énormément de tristesse et de poussière sur nos cœurs que nous vous annonçons que la cinquième édition de Crème brûlée n’aura pas lieu cette année.

Mais vous nous connaissez, et on vous connaît, Crème Brûlée 2021 sera grandiose, crémeuse, suave, sonore, superbe. Énorme ! Donc nous personnellement on reste sur le pont pour préparer l’an prochain…

This is a hard time... After lengthy consultations with camps leads, the board of the French Burners non-profit and the organising team, it has been decided to cancel Crème Brûlée 2020.

Even if the team was very motivated to go on, the COVID19 epidemic raises too much uncertainty regarding gatherings and meetings taking place currently and in the near future. If we were to continue planning of the event, expenses were expected to be around 15-20K in the coming days and this would mean that we could not be able to fully refund any tickets sold if the event was canceled by the authorities as part of health measures (or if the likely too low number of tickets sold forced us to cancel later on).

Therefore, it’s with great sadness and dust on our hearts that we announce that the fifth edition of Crème brûlée will not take place this year.

But as we all know, Crème Brûlée 2021 will be huge, grandiose, creamy, suave, sonorous, and superb. It will be ENORMOUS! And we’re all on deck to prepare for next year.

As some people have asked: We do not want to postpone the event to September or October, for many reasons. We prefer to focus on organising the Burning Night in December - perhaps with a different setting - and then a fantastic Crème Brûlée in 2021.
