URGENT ACTION ALERT: #FreeAmerNow
Amer Othman Adi Detained Yesterday During a "Routine" Meeting with ICE
Amer Othman Adi, a Palestinian father, husband, businessman, and long time Palestinian activist and organizer with USPCN--who has been battling the broken U.S. immigration system for decades--was granted a stay of deportation less than two weeks ago, but still inexplicably ripped away from his loved ones and detained the morning of January 16th while attending a scheduled meeting with Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Now in Geauga County jail, Amer has begun a hunger strike in response. Married to a U.S. citizen for 30 years, and the father of four U.S. citizen daughters, he has been an exceptional member of his community since the 70s, and beloved by all the people of Youngstown, Ohio, and everyone else who knows him.
He and his family deserve justice and freedom from unlawful deportation!
Here is a list of ways to take ACTION and DEMAND that ICE must #FreeAmerNOW:
1. Call the regional ICE director throughout the day.
Call the ultimate decision maker, Rebecca Adducci, the regional field director of ICE, at 313-568-6036 and demand Amer be released. Please leave a message if there's no answer!
