Dear Program Operator,
The Community Procurement Unit (CPU) is working in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to create resources related to procurement in the Child and Adult Care Food (CACFP) Program.
The purpose of this communication is to announce the availability of a new procurement resource that is now available in the Download Forms section of the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System (CNIPS):
- CPU 04 (Instructions): Small Purchase Food Service Agreement (Instructions Only)
- CPU 04: Small Purchase Food Service Agreement
The new procurement resource mentioned above, Form ID: CPU 04, Small Purchase Food Service Agreement, replaces the previous agreement titled Form ID: CACFP 17, Standard Food Service Vending Agreement (Delivery), and is also intended to replace the Form ID: CACFP 20, Monthly Standard Food Service Vending Agreement.
As a result of this update, please note that Form ID: CACFP 20, Monthly Standard Food Service Vending Agreement, has been removed from CNIPS and is no longer valid for use by program operators.
In addition, please note that the Form ID: CPU 00, Community Procurement Unit (CPU) Document Library, is now updated to reflect the new procurement resource.
We encourage all CACFP agencies to review the resources as they become available. If your agency currently has procurement processes in place, we encourage you to review the resources, and incorporate information or processes that may be needed based on local, state, or federal procurement regulations and standards.
The resources provided by the CPU are optional and are intended to assist agencies with navigating procurement in the CACFP.
