I hope you are all safe and well. 
 
I am excited to share that the SDG2 Networking Meetings will be taking a slightly new format as of 2021 and in the build-up to the UN Food Systems Summit. 
 
2021 is a critical year during which we would all like to see progress on the SDGs and particularly through the lens of food systems. There is an exciting amount of opportunity building on top of the traditional calendar of events. The Covid-19 pandemic and climate emergency add to the complexity and need for urgent action. Given this, the SDG2 Advocacy Hub will shift the frame of its regular network meetings that have been running since 2016 and adapt their frequency and scope. 
 
We will start on Wednesday 3 February, and then continue with monthly online meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. We will expand the meetings’ invitation list to bring in other actors interested and engaged in SDG2 and food systems action. We will call these meetings the ‘SDG2 Advocacy Hub and UN Food Systems Summit Communication Networking Meeting'. The agenda will have a standing space for monthly updates on the UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS), serving as the key communications network for the UNFSS Secretariat, and then, as it has in the past, also update the community on key reports, upcoming events and priority moments in the year. 
 
This will continue to be supported and facilitated by the SDG2 Advocacy Hub and a calendar will be updated with all relevant events. The goal will be to connect, coordinate and allow for greater collaboration in the run up to the pre-Summit in July and the Summit in September. 
 
If you have received and attended the Networking Meetings regularly throughout 2020, you should have received the dial-in details for the first meeting on 3 February, 9am EST / 2pm GMT / 3pm CET.
