Emotions influence everything we do. Our actions are influenced by our thoughts, which are influenced by our emotions.
Emotions have a big part in how we handle different situations. If we had a bad job interview, we might be sad or angry about it. These emotions might have an impact on how we feel towards the next job interview in a negative way. In order to manage these emotions, we have to learn how to recognize them and use them to our advantage.
The consortium want to offer solutions by showing the importance of the application of Emotional Intelligence (EI) tools, skills and strategies for job counsellors and job searchers.
Studies have found that organizations with high Emotional Intelligence are associated with increased productivity, higher engagement levels, lower turnover and absenteeism rates and increased market share.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE
Partners had the first transnational project meeting in November 2018 in the Liverpool Central Library. Partners had an overview of the project objectives and methodologies and defined roles and responsibilities.
The consortium analysed Emotional competences and participated in a workshop delivered by Defoin to identify the most relevant Emotional skills. An Action plan was also developed in the end of the meeting.
In order to develop the training, the organizations have collected and analysed opinions of career counsellors across EU about the most important Emotional Intelligence skills in the field of career guidance.
