My fierce warrior friend, Dina Marie reached out to me last week, updating me on a proposed article change to her town charter with language that does not prioritize women’s health and right to choose. This past Tuesday nights experience at the Billerica Town Hall was profound. Dina, fellow women’s rights allies and Boston Red Cloaks stood together solidarity for women rights.
In an age and era where women’s rights are constantly used as a bartering chip, we must stand together for reproductive choice.
As we reflect on where we have come, women have been able to vote for 99 years.
Women have had the ability to make a choice with our doctor and for ourselves for 40 years. I’ve been on the front line working on issues around women’s reproductive health and I’ll continue to do that in Washington with a passion for this district.
Society must listen to women.
