IOM Reintegration Handbook: Presenting the IOM-UNICEF Module on Reintegration of Children and their Families

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

Following the recent seminar on the return and reintegration of children and their families organized by the EU-IOM Knowledge Management Hub (KMH), we would like to invite you to the public webinar “IOM Reintegration Handbook: Presenting the IOM-UNICEF Module on Reintegration of Children and their Families” that will take place on Thursday 22 April 2021 at 4pm (Geneva time).

Register here!

The module, result of a collaborative effort between IOM and UNICEF, focuses on the reintegration of children and their families and complements the IOM Reintegration Handbook: practical guidance on the design, implementation and monitoring of reintegration assistance developed under the ORION project and funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

The module is conceived as a hands-on tool on how to integrate and promote appropriate reintegration practices for children returning to their countries of origin. It emphasizes the strengthening of child protection and social welfare systems, case management to facilitate referral to education, social protection, health care, access to justice and other appropriate services, and recommends the prioritization of community and family resources and practices.

During this event, representatives from IOM and UNICEF, together with partners, will present the module and share lessons learnt when providing reintegration assistance to children and their families.

The webinar will be conducted in English and moderated by the EU-IOM Knowledge Management Hub. A dedicated Q&A session is also foreseen to allow for meaningful exchanges with participants.

Webinars organized by the KMH and hosted on its Return and Reintegration Platform aim to present specific reintegration practices and encourage experience sharing.

Please click the button above to register and receive indications on how to join the session. Do not hesitate to extend this invitation to your colleagues and counterparts who might be interested to attend the event.

We are looking forward to a meaningful exchange!

This webinar is organized in the framework of the EU-IOM Knowledge Management Hub that has been established in 2017 under the Pilot Action on Voluntary Return and Sustainable, Community-Based Reintegration funded by the European Union.
