Pre-Order Update, Reserve your Size, my Truli Life 💘
Sunday, May 9, 2021
Hi <<First Name>>
How have you been? What's new?
Me? I feel like I've been hiking through the forest for a very long time and I've finally reached a clearing. The thick brush has thinned out and I can see an incredible view in the distance - even the direction I need to go - BUT, there's a great big giant body of water that I still need to cross in order to continue on my journey. Let me tell you a little bit about what I can see right now and how I've been preparing to make my crossing (…just in case you hadn't realized - this is just a metaphor. I'm at home safe and sound typing away on my computer to you lol!).
Here is what I can see from the hypothetical "beach"…
Inventory is Coming!
Pre-Order Update
In January I announced the hard decisions I had to make when placing the inventory order. Since then, I've been connecting with all of the 97 individuals who did a pre-order, collecting measurements, assigning sizes and doing whatever shipments I could from the current inventory.
The manufacturer confirmed that production is on schedule to be complete on July 7th as planned - Woo Hoo!
My broker and everyone in the shipping community says they are unable to predict when they will arrive in Canada though. Pre-COVID it was about 4 weeks, so let's stay optimistic!
More Sizes are Coming (but not that many) - RESERVE YOURS - First-come, first-served!
Your best bet in making sure you have a Truli when they arrive is to reserve it in the form
Input your measurements to the best of your knowledge. I will go through it, assign a size, check that it is coming in with the new inventory. If so, I will email you an invoice for full payment (or let you know what your other options are).
Your reservation will be confirmed when full payment is received on a first-come, first served basis
These will sell out quick and it will be several more months before the next round of inventory arrives, so if you really need a wetsuit, don't miss this opportunity!
Here is what I've been up to these last few months to prepare myself for this exciting crossing…
I've Been Learning!
I've kinda known that I'd be presented with this hypothetical "crossing" for quite some time and that I wasn't fully prepared to handle it. So I set out to get all the information I could before I jumped right in. The "crossing", by the way, is my leap from this one-woman-show I've been holding down for so many years now and upping my game to bring Truli to where it belongs
You can read all about my Truli life in my blog, but essentially I've been taking this opportunity to be a sponge and learning everything I can from experts and advisors everywhere.
I've been learning how to prepare my business for investors, studying the life cycle of my wetsuits and checking to see if there are more sustainable ways to design, manufacture, and produce Truli Wetsuits. All of this done through an incubator program at Ryerson University's Fashion Zone, local manufacturer company mentorship with Catapult Grey-Bruce, and the ongoing coaching I receive from the pros at IFundWomen. Phew - it's been a lot! Learn More
Okay, so how's that for a metaphor on this beautiful day in May! I'm looking forward to hearing how you've been and seeing your names come up on the Reservation Form!
Any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. There has been a very high volume of inquiries coming through lately, so we appreciate your patience as we move through them.
Yours in Women's Wetsuit Solidarity,
