ABOUT ROBERT ELLSBERG

Robert Ellsberg is the publisher of Orbis Books, where he has worked for 32 years. In 1975 he joined the Catholic Worker community in New York City and worked there for the last five years of Dorothy Day's life until 1980. He served for two years as managing editor of the "Catholic Worker" newspaper. Later he received a ThM in theology from Harvard Divinity School. He has devoted much of his life to promoting Day's life and legacy, editing her "Selected Writings," her diaries, "The Duty of Delight," and selected letters, "All the Way to Heaven." He serves on the historical commission appointed by Archdiocese of New York to oversee the preparation of her cause for canonization. He has written numerous books about saints and holiness, including "All Saints: Daily Reflections on Saints, Prophets, and Witnesses for Our Time," "Blessed Among All Women," "The Saints' Guide to Happiness," "Franciscan Saints," and "Blessed Among Us," based on the daily reflections on saints he has written for "Give Us This."
