It's less than a week to go until my third annual Pensioners' Fair. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone taking part.
We have more than 50 exhibitors, from all sectors, with planned first-aid demonstrations and a flash-mob of retirees who will be demonstrating the fun, value and importance of remaining active in later life.
Bromsgrove District Council’s Connecting Families initiative will be a strong focus at this year’s Fair. Connecting Families continues to do extremely important work in raising awareness around falls prevention amongst our older population in Bromsgrove.
Furthermore, following the brilliant news that Bromsgrove has achieved Dementia Friendly Community Status with the Alzheimer’s Society, this Fair will have a key focus on all the work that is being done locally around raising awareness and reducing stigma around Dementia.
First Group will be ensuring that retirees are as connected as possible, namely through its brand new Salt Road Service, which links Worcester, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove and Birmingham.
It’s so important that we continue to back our local organisations by bringing together the very best of Bromsgrove.
I’d like to particularly thank the Fair’s three sponsors, First Group, Bromsgrove District Council and AFH Wealth Management for their generous support.
The Fair is completely free to attend. If you would like any further information, please do give me a call on 0207 219 0930.
As ever, if I can be of any assistance, please do get in touch with my office on sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk
Best wishes,

Sajid Javid

It was a pleasure to meet the Food Warehouse team.
Launched just four years ago, The Food Warehouse now has more than 75 stores across Britain, so we are lucky that they have chosen Bromsgrove for one of their newest stores. They have brought 30 new jobs to our constituency.
Owned by Iceland, Food Warehouse became the first major retailer in the world to commit to eliminating plastic packaging from its own label products by 2023 and this year they also became the first UK supermarket to remove palm oil as an ingredient.
Do give the new store a visit - perfect for the Christmas food shop!

I regularly meet with Bromsgrove District Council and Worcestershire County Council to discuss with them the issues that matter the most to my Bromsgrove constituents.
We're all working hard for Bromsgrove; if there is ever anything that you would like me to raise, please do let me know.

It's taken me a while to go through all of the brilliant entries into my 2018 MP Christmas Card Competition.
I’m overwhelmed by the quality; thank you to the hundreds of local schoolchildren who have made such an incredible effort.
The winner will be announced soon!

It was an honour to be amongst those of you who dedicated your time to the supplying, knitting and mounting of Bromsgrove's poppy cascade.
It was humbling to see this church-inspired, community-led project come to fruition.
As the people of Bromsgrove walk past this poignant work of art I know that they will take a moment out of their day to remember the huge price paid by so many in defence of our nation, and in defence of the values that make me so proud to be British today.
Their legacy was our liberty and we will never forget.

It was inspiring to visit some of my young constituents who are doing their National Citizen Service in Bromsgrove.
NCS is a once in a lifetime experience for local 15-17 year olds and I would encourage all of my young constituents to sign up.
Say yes to NCS!
