Emma’s research in the spectroscopic study of synthetic chemistry is unique. She studied organic chemistry (molecules containing carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen atoms) and inorganic chemistry (molecules containing the transition metals), providing her with a perspective of how these subdisciplines function together to move synthetic chemistry forward. She brings this skillset and passion for chemistry to the Quest classroom and lab.
