The last few weeks have been an unmitigated disaster for House Democrats. Washington Post publishes perspectiveby Ilya Somin detailing how the, “left was skeptical of giving power to the states. Until the Trump era.” Alternatively, Governor Newsom’s Administration makes me cringe every time I advocate local control –I have to remind myself that by local I mean the very most local that you can get!
Marla Sousa Livengood is a candidate for California’s 10th Congressional District. Raised on her family's farm in San Joaquin County, Marla personally knows the hard work and dedication of Valley Farmers and those that support the 10th Congressional District’s multi-billion-dollar Agriculture Industry. A graduate of CSU Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, Marla has spent much of her career ensuring farmers are not forgotten in Washington, DC or Sacramento. In addition to time on the family farm, she has served in roles focusing on Central Valley agriculture, transportation, economic development and job creation. Livengood is active in the community - serving as an appointed Member of the San Joaquin County Aviation Advisory Committee and she is an Active Member of the Junior League of San Joaquin County. Marla and her husband Ray proudly call San Joaquin County home where they raise their three children.
