RCV Submission to the
2019 Local Government Bill
RCV has recently contributed feedback to the proposed reforms to the Local Government Bill 2019, urging the government to consider the draft reforms from the perspective of the state's most isolated and resource constrained councils.
In the submission, RCV outlines our support for a number of the suggested reforms, but also highlights problems with the proposed reforms limiting single member wards, and no requirement for evidence to support a petition for a commission of inquiry against a Council or Councillors.

and Industry Toolkits
The new is now live. The website outlines our ongoing program of work and highlights the work we're doing to advocate for the interests of our rural communities.
On the new website you'll also find toolkits outlining best practice for councils in the areas of supporting creative industries, preparing successful grant applications, and helping retail businesses to thrive in your municipalities.
