Beloved Friends & Family,

I am hoping your life these days has some breath in it, even as our Mother the Earth groans under the weight of our collective demands, the political climate is more polarized than ever, and the tyranny of tasks in our everyday lives may be making it difficult to rest and recharge.  I share the challenge to both step and take refuge, to care with all our might and cultivate a spacious perspective.  My heart is with yours.  Only together can we bear these times.

After two fleeting months at home, walking in the mountains with my dogs, having a regular life with my husband, lifting weights with my sister, and nestling into my solitary cave, it’s time to get back on the road.  Starting with a week in Mexico with my parents and some dear friends, Caravan Wild Mercy pushes off again.

As you will see below, 2020 is overflowing with adventures, and I hope to catch some time with you at one or more of these gatherings.

On February 15 we will gather to celebrate the life and legacy of Ram Dass at the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz.  Dr. Larry Brilliant, co-founder with Ram Dass of the Seva Foundation, will emcee.  I will offer a lyrical eulogy to my lifelong friend and teacher.  The new kirtan sensation, Kripa, will lead us in call & response chanting, and other surprise luminaries are making arrangements to be there then!  There will also be a screening of the new documentary about Ram Dass’ life, Becoming Nobody, which will raise funds for a project most dear to Ram Dass’ heart, the Hanuman Temple in Taos, New Mexico. On February 20 I fly to Austin for the world premiere of a collaboration between the Grammy award-winning choral group Conspirare, renowned composer Andrea Clearfield, and my Shechinah prayer from Wild Mercy. LINK

In the middle of it all, I will spend a week recording the Wild Mercy audiobook (long story) at the Sounds True studio in Boulder, Colorado.  My brother has been coaching me and I’m getting excited about speaking this book in my own voice.

Looking ahead, here’s a peek at the next few months.

That’s enough for now, don’t you think?  We’ll keep you posted on summer gatherings.  You can always visit the Events Page of my website for the long view.

I leave you, as always, with recommendations of things my friends are up to + recent interviews with me.

I’m blown away and delighted by the work of activist and public theologian, Christena Cleveland.  Check out her latest masterpiece here, a collection of original writings, artwork and practices to open the way to the dark feminine, Christ Our Black Mother Speaks.

God-intoxicated activist rapper, Mona Haydar, has new music video that is rocking the world with its message of self-acceptance and love.

American teacher of Toltec wisdom, Heather Ash Amara, has a new course on The Shift Network to help bolster your warrior heart.  You can catch the free webinar here.

Listen in on a conversation between Rabbi Rami and me about reclaiming our belonging to the Divine Mother.

And finally, I share the latest issue of Catalyst E-Zine in which I make a couple of different offerings in honor of my beloved teacher, Ram Dass, who I am still quietly mourning and actively celebrating.

With love and blessings,

Mirabai

If Wild Mercy is resonating for you, would you be so kind as to post a review on Amazon?  That helps drive sales and get this little book into many more hands.
