Lakeland & Haines City Municipal Election Run-Off Results
There were mixed results in last week's municipal election run-offs.

By a thin margin of 146 votes, Shandale Terrell was defeated by Mike Musick in the race for the Southeast District "D" commission seat vacated by U.S. Rep Scott Franklin. The seat will be open again in November, when a general election will be held for all five commission seats.

Meanwhile, Anne Huffman held onto her seat on the Haines City Commission, when she was re-elected with 28 extra votes to defeat Kenneth Kipp.
