Hey there,
Jordan's back in the field!
He's reporting near Roanoke, Virginia on yet another corrupt pipeline. Crews from Mountain Valley Pipeline are devastating family-owned forests and farms so they can continue placing a 303-mile pipeline.
In one particularly egregious case, pipeline crews have just cut down trees on land seized via eminent domain that were given to the Terry family 400 years ago by the Queen of England. The trees would take hundreds more years to regrow. Unfortunately, those trees will never have that chance because a massive pipeline will be built through the mountain.
"Red" Terry and Minor Terry lodged a protest against this by living in trees on their property to block the crews. They came down only after an Obama-appointed federal judge ruled they'd be charged $1,000 per day of continued protest before they'd finally be taken down by force by federal marshals.
Jordan interviewed Red and Minor yesterday—those watching live were immediate fans of Red, who has a fighting spirit and takes no B.S. from anyone. Watch the full interview and you'll see exactly what they are fighting for and why:

Red and Minor Terry talk about the Mountain Valley Pipeline that's stealing their land via eminient domain, their month-long tree sitting protest, and where the fight goes from here.

The interview is incredible, so please watch and share. You'll also see shorter clips of the interview going up throughout the day on Jordan Chariton Reports YouTube channel. It's incredible, but the media has hardly spotlighted this incredible story at all. We've run into people right here in Roanoke that had no idea this was going on.
Just the way the oil companies like it.
Coles Terry (Red's son) and family friend Genesis took us on a tour of the land and shared some incredible background of the corruption that's ongoing in this state. It was heartwrenching to see the beautiful forest decimated by the pipeline crews.
