The judging for SDGs&Her is now underway, and we are thrilled to announce that we received over 1,200 submissions for the inaugural competition!  As we evaluate the proposals, we are taken aback by the phenomenal achievements of women micro-entrepreneurs around the world, and we are excited to share the top ideas with you.

With the 2018 Ideas for Action winners announced, several competition regions have begun the exciting process of celebrating their top finishers. On June 20, the Democratic Republic of Congo's Ministry of Planning held an inspiring event to honor the country's top three finalists. To learn more and see pictures from the ceremony,
please click to read the blog post linked below. The DRC's success is a perfect example of what can be achieved when we bring together government, the private sector, international institutions like the World Bank, and, most importantly, the young people on the ground with the ideas and ability to help us all achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We are also excited this week to release the second short video in our #AskI4AExperts series, again featuring IFC VP of Asia & Pacific Nena Stoiljkovic. We highly recommend that you set aside two minutes to listen to her inspiring words addressing young women entrepreneurs, and please share on social media to maximize the impact of this invaluable content.
