On June 20, 2021, Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, voted in a new government. What does the new Israeli government expect from Germany and vice versa? What changes can be anticipated in German-Israeli relations? What are the challenges? Where might there be new areas of cooperation?

Jeremy Issacharoff has been ambassador in Berlin since August 2017. Previously, he served as vice director general at the foreign ministry in Jerusalem. From 2005-2009, he served as Israel’s envoy to Washington D.C. Issacharoff has worked for the Israeli government since 1982. He is married with three children.
Tal Schneider is Political Correspondent for the Times of Israel. Previously, she was D.C. Correspondent for Maariv Daily (2004-2009), Globes Business Political Correspondent and political blogger running her own political blog “The Plog” (2010-2017). She is a frequent commentator on Israeli radio and TV stations; and recipient of the 2015 Ometz (public courage and integrity) Award; and the 2012 Google Digital Excellence in Journalism Award. Her stories have appeared in Globes, Haaretz, TheMarker, Maariv, and Mako.
Antonia Yamin is Chief Europe Correspondent for KAN news, the Israeli broadcasting corporation. In July 2019, Yamin won the B’nai B’rith World Center Journalism Award Recognizing Excellence in Diaspora Reportage. Since 2020, she has sat on the jury of the Shimon-Peres-Prize in Germany. Before working for KAN TV, Yamin worked for channel 10 News Israel and for the German public broadcasting channel ZDF (Tel Aviv office). Amongst others she has interviewed Angela Merkel, Sebastian Kurz, and was the last one to interview the famous Israeli novelist Amos Oz.
