Dear Program Operator,

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently published Policy Memo CACFP 02-2022: Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Flexibilities During COVID-19 Supply Chain Disruptions, which outlines guidance to assist agencies with handling school meals supply chain issues during the current school year.

The USDA’s Team Nutrition also updated their web page titled Planning for a Dynamic School Environment During School Year 2021–22: Supply Chain Issues. The updated web page provides additional resources that include procurement strategies, meeting the meal patterns, working together on supply chain issues, and other helpful technical assistance.
