Celebrate and Be Inspired on October 3
Friend,
Dozens of cities have lidded their freeways to expand public land and mitigate noise and air pollution. But Seattle is a little different - we have big hills, the iconic Freeway Park, and ramps in the middle of I-5. How can these challenges be addressed? How can we ensure an equitable and sustainable process that benefits a rapidly growing city?
Explore these questions and more with Lid I-5 and PPUNC at the grand finale of a joint design initiative, the Central Hills Triangle Collaborative. Meet our professional design teams and stellar community partners for a festive evening of inspiration and celebration on Wednesday, October 3, 5:30 PM, at Melrose Market Studios.
RSVP and help us spread the word via Facebook.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, the program is 6-8, and the event concludes at 9. Along with presentations from the five design teams we'll hear from Seattle City Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, Office of Planning and Community Development Director Sam Assefa, and Seattle Parks Foundation Executive Director Thatcher Bailey. A reception and open house will round out the night. Enjoy appetizers from D Squared Company and a cash bar with beer and wine. RSVP today!
