Dear Follower,
We wish you all the best for the New Year!

We hope you enjoyed a peaceful and quiet holiday season and had some time to rest and reflect on the events and achievements of the past year.
While everything is slowly returning to a normal pace and the finishing touches are put on last year’s projects, the beginning of a new year also is a time of determination, when new plans and resolutions are made and the motivation to face new challenges is at a peak.
In terms of opportunities to gain new insights, starting new projects and broadening your horizons, the new year has quite a lot to offer: In February, the 3rd HBP Student Conference
will provide an open forum for interdisciplinary exchange among young researchers working in neuroscience, brain medicine and computer science. From May to September, the third series of HBP Curriculum Workshops will take place at HBP partner institutions all over Europe. Throughout the year, a number of hands-on workshops will offer specific training in the use of the HBP Research Infrastructure and tools. In addition to our physical meetings, a wide range of videos and distance learning courses is also available online on our website.

We are looking forward to an exciting year with many familiar and new faces, fruitful discussions across scientific disciplines, and new insights and collaborations!

Best regards,
Your Education Programme Team

Online activities
New HBP Curriculum Online Course:
Cognitive systems for non-specialists

Picture online course
In the context of the third Teaching Cycle, a new course on the topic of Cognitive systems for non-specialists” was added to the online course collection.

This course aims at providing an introduction to the theory of cognitive systems from a computational-neuroscientific perspective.
Special focus is put on the role of robotics as a means to ground cognitive function in bodies that physically interact within different types of environments.

On our website we have a number of online activities available for those who can't make it to our physical events:
