Flint Water Crisis BREAKING NEWS: Ex-Michigan Governor Rick Snyder's state-owned phone has been seized, along with those of 65 other officials related to the Flint water crisis.
This is very important—a high-up source linked to the water crisis investigation told Jordan in 2018 state prosecutors felt there was enough evidence to charge Snyder with a crime related to the water crisis, but they never got the green light from ex-GOP Attorney General Bill Schuette.
Seizing Snyder's phone is a serious escalation from new Attorney General Dana Nessel and a sign that they have reason to want to go through his phone records.
REMINDER: Status Coup broke the story in November that Michigan state officials—under Snyder's administration—cheated on the Flint water lead testing by flushing residents' water lines right before testing. We met in person with representatives from the Attorney General's office in February—including the Solicitor General—to present our reporting and evidence.
Important: We were only able to break the Flushing Flint story and meet with the Solicitor General because of your support! DONATE so we can stay on this story and beyond: https://www.gofundme.com/status-coup-news
Jordan's been in contact with her office since.
Jordan will have more on this breaking story at 5 pm eastern during our livestream, so tune in!
