Spend this Memorial Day outdoors observing butterflies and the North American Butterfly Association will reward you with a FREE one-year membership! All you have to do is create an account at the Recent Sightings page, and fill in the requested information. If you don’t know the proper names of the butterflies, just enter descriptions in the Comments section and upload photos, if you have them!
This promotion is open May 27 – 29, 2017, and everyone is encouraged to participate. You may record sightings from your yard, park or anywhere—just make sure to provide good information on your location.
While this promotion does NOT include free membership to the National Butterfly Center, we will be open with FREE ADMISSION on Memorial Day, so you may come count OUR butterflies and see what we’re all about. Everyone who visits Monday, May 29, and signs the guest registry at the Monarch Palapa will be entered in a drawing to win a Camelbak Pak.*
*Actual Camelpak may vary from the one shown.
Super Summer Camps
Registration is OPEN for the National Butterfly Center's young naturalist summer camps. Now is the time to sign up your child, so he or she may spend July chasing butterflies, setting up camp, developing photography skills and learning all about the great outdoors. Of course, our all-star Critter Camp will feature hands-on encounters and education related to wildlife, from our remarkable staff and resident rehabilitator, Angie Garcia. Camps are 8 AM - 12 PM, Monday - Friday, for $25 per child, ages 7 - 12. Click here to enroll.
