To my friends and family, 

I want to tell you how proud I am of my daughter stepping up for her community to become a member of Congress. She has chosen to undertake a very difficult task. However, her ideas around fixing key issues like affordable housing and universal education from Pre-K to college are thoughtful, innovative, and aim to create the best possible solution for all-- not just the few. 

Campaigning is no small task. Campaigning is different because you have to ask people to make sacrifices with you. I know she doesn’t like asking for money, but we also know Rep. Hoyer doesn't have any hangups about picking up the phone to ask for money with strings attached from special interests. Briana needs your help before the clock runs out to continue our grassroots fight for a new generation of leadership.

Watching how she’s carried herself throughout her career as a teacher, a lawyer, and an organizer has been an utter joy. It remains my opinion that there is no one better suited to serve Southern Maryland. Running a people powered campaign against the machine isn’t easy because she understands how hard people work for what they earn.
