Columbia University School of the Arts seeks Manager of Shops and Safety

The Visual Arts Program at the School of the Arts, Columbia University has a position open for a full-time Manager of Shops and Safety.
 
The basic functions are overseeing the safe operation and management of the Visual Arts Metal, Wood, and Ceramics shops.  This position supervises the Assistant Director of Shops and Safety for Visual Arts, a part-time Undergraduate Shops Assistant, and 6-10 graduate student shop monitors/ fellows. The incumbent oversees maintenance of all equipment, develops training programs for students in the safe usage of equipment and chemicals, and develops and teaches workshops on use of the equipment.
