Dear <<First Name>>,

Wiley A. Branton was a tireless advocate for civil rights and equal justice throughout his entire career—as a private practitioner in Arkansas, a leader of federal agencies in Washington, and a Dean of the Howard University School of Law. Working with Thurgood Marshall and the NAACP, he took on some of the most significant civil rights cases in the South, including the representation of the Freedom Riders in Mississippi, who were arrested for desegregating public transportation and public accommodations.

For over 30 years, we have come together each year for our Branton Awards Luncheon to recognize individuals and organizations who, like Judge Branton, have dedicated their lives to fighting the good fight. This year is no exception. We hope you will join us on June 26th to celebrate the urgent, timely and superior work that is being done. More information can be found below.

As an organization, we are committed to carrying the torch that Judge Branton so faithfully held of true and equal justice for all. You can read more about some of our current work below.

Thank you for your support. We could not do this without you.

Chained CPI is an inaccurate measure of low-income households’ spending patterns and its adoption would reduce access to vital supports. Read more.
