2020 Bizon Community Tour
I’m Kimberly BIZON and I am running for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District in the 2020 Election. I launched my Community Outreach Tour, because I care about all our communities that make up Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.
St. Clair Township, MI
I have a soft spot for small townships – Probably because I was raised in a small town in Yale, MI with neighbors a good walk away.
What I learned at the St. Clair Township, MI
- The Board passed its annual resolution of “2020 Poverty Guidelines” which remain unchanged.
- They approved many 2020 bills for payment. One of the Board members questioned the details of some of the bills. I agree with her – it’s better to get all the facts out before approving payment.
- The Board approved convention spending so Board members become better educated on programs benefiting their community, such as the Michigan Rural Water Association (MRWA) Annual Conference, the Michigan Lead and Copper Rule Workshop, and a Macomb County Economic Growth Luncheon.
- Congratulations to Robin Hanrahan who finished her class and passed her certification for Public Fund Investment Manager.
I was able to introduce myself and they were very gracious. I look forward to visiting this small rural town again and next time, I will add that we, in Lexington, have plenty of stray cats just as they do. 😊
I believe a good Representative listens to people and the communities. Each community has its own "heartbeat," and has its own challenges. I believe in our communities and will fight for the people who live in them. Please vote for me on August 4, 2020.
