Hi <<First Name>>,
The team at BrickLink Marketplace is in full swing for 2023. We’d like to keep you in the loop with what we’re currently working on, highlight progress we’ve made, including some major bug fixes, and offer a few tips and tricks so you can get the most out of BrickLink.
Thank you from all of us for helping make BrickLink the premiere destination to buy and sell LEGO parts, sets, and minifigures.

Tax Compliance for Australia, New Zealand and Norway
The team is currently working to comply with e-commerce laws in these countries to collect the appropriate VAT/GST on imported low value goods. BrickLink will also collect taxes on commissions invoiced to sellers in these countries. Business sellers will, of course, have the ability to exempt themselves from taxes on commissions, as well as marketplace taxes on imported low value goods, as long as they provide confirmation the purchases are for business purposes. We expect to be completed with Australia by early summer, followed by New Zealand and Norway in late summer.

EU DAC-7 for all existing sellers by 2024
This is a continuation of the EU DAC-7 initiative from 2022, which only affected new EU sellers on the BrickLink platform. In 2023, we'll begin looking into how to collect documentation for existing EU sellers. We'll make a separate announcement about this later in the year.

Updating the Marketplace Help Files
We expect to update the most critical of these Help files by the end of June, and to update the rest of them though the rest of the summer and the beginning of fall. We expect that the updated Help files will help to answer most of your questions so you don’t have to create a ticket or post on the Forum for an answer.

We resolved the problem of “lost” Help Desk tickets. We long suspected that Help Desk tickets were getting lost in our system. Our recent reconfiguration between the Help Center and our SmarterTrack Help Desk system has resolved this problem. Now, the average response time from our customer service team is 27 hours, which means that for most tickets submitted on a weekday, you will receive a personal response the same day.

We appreciate your help in finding issues with the BrickLink site and letting us know about them. Here’s a summary of what you've helped us resolve in the last few months
- Order Detail – We've fixed an issue where packing dimensions were displaying millimeters instead of centimeters
- Storefront – We've fixed an issue where switching between grid and list view can break if done repeatedly

Seller recognition on BrickLink
There are currently several ways BrickLink gives special recognition to sellers and their stores. First there is the Browse Stores page, where users can see Featured Stores, Highlighted Stores, and Honored Stores.
Additionally, on BrickLink’s main landing page, there is a section called Shop in Stores which highlights newly praised stores and some items offered for sale.
And there are other places on the site where usernames are ranked by feedback or catalog credits.
To give even more exposure and greater depth, we’re considering a program featuring individual sellers in our Marketplace Newsletters. Please let us know if this type of content would be interesting to you, and also if you would be willing to have a short article about you and your store included in the next newsletter.
Thanks for reading all the way to the end of the newsletter! We hope you enjoyed it. We can’t wait to welcome you to a fun summer season on BrickLink!
Warmest regards,
The BrickLink Team
