Learn and Act with RocCity Coalition Action Teams
Jan. 9 & 10

RocCity Coalition's action teams are a great way to learn about and get closer to the aspect of the community that matters to you most. Two meetings are coming up soon: Education (Jan.9) and Housing (Jan. 10).
ACT Rochester's "Hard Facts" Community Workshops
Jan. 11 & 12

Read the latest "Hard Facts" report and then discuss strategies to address the disparities in the quality of life among persons of different racial and ethnic backgrounds in our
communities.
ASL at Rochester Brainery
Jan. 25, Feb. 6 & 26

Rochester is home to more deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals than anywhere else in the country. It's time to learn a  language that can bring us all closer together. As part of the RYP Equity Series, take this class at the Rochester Brainery and enjoy a 10% discount with code RYP10  at checkout.

2018 Rochester Black Men Achieve Awards

Mark your calendars for the inaugural Rochester Black Men Achieve Awards Black Tie Gala on January 20th from 6-10pm at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. During this event, five extraordinary Men of Color in our community will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, a Humanitarian Award and the Madiba Man of Courage Award.

January Brainery Bazaar 
Join The Rochester Brainery on January 13th from 11am-4pm for the 2nd Saturday Brainery Bazaar! The first 25 people to enter the Bazaar will get a free tote bag filled with swag from vendors! The Brainery will also have Joe Bean Coffee Roasters on hand to help you stay warm and caffeinated.

RYP is excited to announce its 2018 Gala benefiting Make-A-Wish® Western New York! The gala is Friday, February 23rd at the Century Club of Rochester. More details on ticket price + purchase, itinerary, theme and catering will be posted on the event's Facebook page as the date gets closer.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Women's Council, cordially invite you to attend the 2018 ATHENA Awards dinner on January 25th, 2018 from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
