+ EASTERTIDE +
Dear friends of the Old Latin School,
Thank you for your support and encouragement in this festive season. Together we rejoice in the victorious resurrection and gracious reign of our Lord Jesus Christ over all, even as we mourn the suffering world-wide under the pandemic and cry to our Lord for help and deliverance: Lord have mercy +
We are still very much in shut-down mode here in Luthercity. Things have practically come to a standstill: no tourists, no busses, no ships on the river, no cyclists on the "Elbe-Cycle-Route" either, the market square deserted and parking bays are available all over. Nobody in church either. Hospitality services, hotels, restaurants and bars closed. Business at zero.
There´s no income and the Old Latin School needs Your support now more than ever. Please, do consider supporting us in these testing times and help us with a donation.
Facial masks are now mandatory in public spaces. Apparently the worst is not yet over. So, even as we reopen our bookstore and are hopeful for a return to normalcy, we´ve still got some distance to make up for: Read more. Still, we sing with Cyril A. Alington (1872-1955):
Your Name we bless, O risen Lord, and sing today with one accord
The life laid down, the life restored: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
