Welcome to the October 2018 edition of Sajid Javid MP's newsletter
WELCOME
A few weeks ago we celebrated our first ever Emergency Services Day.  This was a brilliant opportunity for us to show our support for the selfless men and women across the emergency Services in the West Midlands and the UK.  I know that I speak for all of my Bromsgrove constituents in thanking them for their sacrifice, selfless courage and dedication to keeping us all safe.  You do Bromsgrove, and the nation proud.

On Friday 28th September local businesses and residents held coffee mornings across the constituency in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support's World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Bromsgrove's LHDP Smilecare saw staff and patients working together to raise £300 for the cause. This is community spirit at its best. Well done to everyone who took part,

As ever, if I can be of any assistance, please do get in touch with my office on sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk

Best wishes,

Sajid Javid
Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove
RECENT ACTIVITY
It was great to see so many of my constituents at the Bromsgrove Business Lunch.

Local business contributes so much to our regional economy and the entrepreneurial spirit that runs through our town is one of the things that I love about our local area.
It was an honour to meet with representatives from the UK Police Memorial project.

We must never forget the dedication, courage & sacrifice of those members of the UK’s police service who have given their lives to serve & protect their communities.
I enjoyed my recent meeting with Worcestershire County Council.  We discussed at length the issues that matter the most to my Bromsgrove constituents.

Social care services were a key focus of our last meeting.

If there is ever anything that you would like me to raise, please do let me know.
It was amazing to visit the new Bromsgrove branch of Clent Hills Vets.

These guys do brilliant work, caring for 6,000 pets a year with a 24/7 service.

Thank you for having me.
It's now little over a month until my third Annual Pensioners Fair on Friday 16th November from 10am- 12pm at Parkside.

This year's fair is set to be the liveliest yet, with a Tai Chi flash-mob of pensioners promoting the importance of staying fit in later life.

We'll also have first-aid demonstrations, painting, singing and flower-arranging taking place during what promises to be a fun and informative morning.

Confirmed exhibitors include Bromsgrove District Council's Connecting Families initiative, which raises awareness of falls prevention, and the Alzheimer's Society, which has recently achieved Dementia Friendly Community Status in Bromsgrove.

First Group will be ensuring that retirees are as connected as possible, namely through its new Salt Road Service, which links Worcester, Droitwich, Bromsgrove and Birmingham.

I’d like to particularly thank the fair’s first three sponsors, First Group, Bromsgrove District Council,  and AFH Wealth Management for their generous support.

If your organisation would like to exhibit or sponsor the Fair, it's not too late!  Please get in touch with me via sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk
