ONGOING: Call for Concept Notes for Regional Events 2021
The Strategic Collaborative Fund has an ongoing call for concept notes for regional strategic events in Asia that highlight the advancement of environmental sustainability, gender equality, human rights and poverty reduction.
Themes:
  1. Air pollution – Addressing air pollution and climate change (closed)
  2. Agrobiodiversity – Harnessing the Benefits of Agrobiodiversity to Build Sustainable and Inclusive Food Systems (closed)
  3. Freshwater Ecosystems – Practical actions in protecting and restoring freshwater ecosystems for sustainable use and climate change adaptation (open; 31 May 2021)
  4. Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management  – Social media for inclusive resilience in Southeast Asia (open; deadline 31 May 2021)
  5. (NEW) Gender - Gender and Migration in a Changing Climate (open; deadline 14 June 2021)

Event is referred as a broad term of interactive regional dialogues among policy actors and multi-stakeholders to ensure inclusive dialogues and collaborative approach. The proposed events should support the engagement and empowerment of those living in poverty, women, youth, children, ethnic minorities and other environmentally vulnerable groups and enable policy environment to unleash their full productivity potential.

The format could be one or a series of events (workshops, forums, conferences etc.). It is required to cover the geographic scope with at least 3 countries and also address the transboundary issues and challenges in the region. Considering the pandemic and its restrictions, we are also open to virtual, hybrid and innovative approach. See examples of regional events previously organised by our partners.
